How to Follow the Best Life Diet as a Family

The Best Life Diet is just that, a diet that brings out your best life. It includes eating complex carbohydrates, vegetables and lean proteins. It's easy for your family to follow the plan. As long as you do some prep work, you can teach your entire family to eat healthy.

Step1
Read up on the Best Life Diet. Bob Greene's book is a great resource, as is his website. The guidelines are there, along with recipes and tips.

Step2
Shop to make sure you have the necessary foods in your cabinet and refrigerator to get started. It's difficult to follow Best Life Diet if you're not stocked up on complex carbs, vegetables and lean proteins.

Talk to your family about how you're going to start eating better. Show them the website and book and let them learn more about the Best Life Diet.

Step4
Plan out your meals. It helps immensely if you avoid eating on the run. A good idea is to spend one day a week cooking a bunch of chicken, fish and pork and ration it out to last you through the week.

Include your children in the menu planning. It'll be fun for them to stick to the Best Life Diet if they have a hand in the planning part of it.

Make healthy snacks for the kids. Teach them how to make veggies and dip or low fat cheese on a cracker.
